Tai Chi for Health Programs

The traditional tai chi sets are designed for martial art purpose hundreds of years ago. They are complex and difficult to learn. With the change of objective, modification is ne-cesary to make tai chi more safe and effective.

Dr Paul Lam has worked with tai chi experts and medical specialist to design several Tai Chi for Health programs. These programs are easy and enjoyable to learn. What is more, scientific studies have proven their efficacy and safety. This is why Organizations such Arthritis Foundation of Australia, Arthritis Care of UK and Arthritis Foundation of America; Diabetes Australia and Osteoporosis Australia have supported one or all of Dr Lam’s programs (see support by).

By 2007, Dr Lam and his authorized master trainers have trained over 8,000 instruc-tors/leaders, and more than one million people around the world have learned and benefited from Tai Chi for Health programs. You can learn these programs too. Below is a list of them:

• Tai Chi for Arthritis is shown to relieve pain, improve balance and is safe. Supported by Arthritis Foundations worldwide

• Tai Chi for Diabetes is designed to improve the control of and prevent type II diabetes, it enhances relaxation and reduces complications from diabetes. Supported by Diabetes Australia

• Tai Chi for Back Pain enhances the stabilisers muscles; helps to reduce pain, prevents recurrence and improves relaxation. It is also suitable for people who are wheelchair bounded or with a variety of chronic conditions.

• Tai Chi for Osteoporosis is designed to slow down bone loss; improve balance and quality of life. Supported by Osteoporosis Australia.

• Tai Chi 4 Kidz is a fun activity to develop children's concentration and co-ordination.

• Tai Chi @ Work contains the secret to managing work stress and turning it into a source of strength.

• Tai Chi for Health is designed to gain maximum benefit in minimal time, you feel as though you are attending Dr. Lam's class.

• Qigong for Health has movement and breathing exercises especially beneficial for relaxation and inner energy.
